I just read Russ T Nail concerning fish fatalities. I haven't set up my tank for two years but it was something I was pretty good at once. Firstly overfeeding is common in both our world and the the world of pets. My belly is testament as are some people's domesticated animals. Looking at the facts tho, I do believe a couple other factors can attribute. Firstly a 10 gallon tank can be really tough to maintain due to temperature fluctuation; nothing brings the ICK faster, and by having a larger tank, the temperature doesn't move so much, thereby making it a safer environment. Other than that, you just have to make sure they are hanging out with the right friends, not falling to peer pressure, smoking, drinking...mine used to play my albums at high volume until all hours of the night. It just took a little tough love.
Swimming with the wrong crowd is the window to more horrible opportunity.
