Something is punky with the daybook page. It wouldn't load, so I figured I would come here and drop a thought. I have been doing some mulling about my project, and how to trim it down. I would very much like to do the entire family tree of music, but fear that it will be so vast that the research alone would take me 10 weeks. I could be entering the information all the while but don't know that it would be edible and ready for human consumption. A huge part of the writing process is indeed the cutting room floor. I would wager to guess that the flow would work better if I were to use the bands that I have seen as a starting point. Or perhaps my CD collection. Though they are in alphabetical order, that would give me reason to write them all out for better document/organization sake, which of those cd's are from bands that I've seen...alot I'd wager, though a bunch just popped into my head that are wishes. Frank. Blackfoot. At any rate, I guess alot of the cd's that I have might have some commonality in them through the music and the script. Percentage of metal to progressive would be arguable. Maybe. I dunno. It's 90% prog now. On my listening table. Then again, I did just see one of the pinnacles of metal not to long ago at First Avenue, and it far exceded anything I ever expected from them. I think I thought it would be much more raw and opressive and while it was likely the loudest concert I have experienced, the sound was so well produced it blew me away.
SO maybe that's it. My documented CD collection, including the bands I have seen along with commentary of the road and such. We'll see.
